When did you start doing CrossFit? I started CrossFit in January of 2019.
What is your favorite WOD? Anything with a barbell or dumbbell, besides thrusters!
What is your least favorite WOD? Anything with thrusters in it.
What is your favorite lift? Deadlifts and squats.
What is your least favorite lift? Did I say I don't like thrusters.
What is your favorite cheat meal? Pizza Hut pizza and any type of chocolate peanut butter candy.
Tell us a little about yourself. I am a correctional officer at the Federal Prisons in Yazoo City. I played football in high school, so I’m a big Ole Miss Rebel and New Orleans Saints fan. I love spending time with my friends, parents, sister, and my one-year-old niece Vivi.
What were you doing before CrossFit? I thought I was working out at Planet Fitness.
What were your thoughts after your first WOD? First, I thought I was gonna die. Then, when I realized I wasn’t, I had some colorful words in my head that I can’t repeat.
What were your goals when you joined Coyote? My main goals were to gain muscle and get stronger.
Have you achieved any of these goals? Yes! I believe I have gained some muscle mass, but I’ve mainly noticed that I’ve gotten stronger with my lifts.
Has CrossFit affected your life outside the gym? Yes! I have more confidence in myself and feel healthier in general.
Do you have any special memories/achievements during your time at Coyote? When I was able to finish a WOD with pull-ups without having to use a band.
Tell us something we might not know about you. I am a leap day baby. So on February 29, 2020, I will have my 9th official birthday!
